"He's really interested in doing the work. Despite all his wealth and fame as a teenager, he never derailed. He was never busted. Never went outside without his panties on."

Daniel Radcliffe's future projects: Kill your Darlings + a comedy + a third project
It has been a topic for some time (posted by the French press at first), it seemed to be a rumour, that's also has been the reason why I haven't posted it here until now since DR.com posted about it too today: Dan was lined up to play Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings (Thriller by director John Krokidas) which is to be released in 2013. Read more about that below. Then the DailyMail.co.uk also posted about "a comedy lined up and a third project being developed" if I have more about that or the news above, I will post it!
Kill Your Darlings revolves around the relationship between Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr. Carr, for his part, is credited for connecting Ginsberg, Kerouac and William S Burroughs but, most notoriously, served time for the 1944 murder of his lover David Kammerer.
Word of the film first broke in 2009 with Christine Vachon (Boys Don't Cry, Hedwig And The Angry Inch, A Dirty Shame) producing while Chris Evans, Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Whishaw were attached to play Kerouac, Ginsberg and Carr, respectively. ~ But things can change..in two years..[twitchfilm.com]
What scares you the most? Daniel Radcliffe talks about real-life fears..
Daniel did talk with Total Film recently, about his real life fears, which seems to be a great topic now he is ready filming The Woman in Black.
"Cockroaches really freak me out," Radcliffe admitted when TF caught up with him in New York. "We don’t seem to have nearly as many of them in England as we do [in America]!"source: totalfilm.com
His fear of anthropoids worries him on his travels round the world. "All those places [that have insects] are off my list! I do like Australia though - but lying in the thick of it is just the world’s largest collection of poisonous things!"
Dan-Rad also admits to professional terror. Currently performing on Broadway in How to Succeed In Business Without Even Trying, Radcliffe fears the horror of a mid-week empty house. "On a Wednesday matinee I’m thinking 'Oh God I hope there’s more than 500 people out there!'"
"About 800 people is a good audience, anything less and you can hear your voice bouncing back at you. But on those days you learn so much about yourself and your stamina and your mental will so it’s been great for me."
Daniel Radcliffe: "Don't forget to join the AMC Theatres The Woman in Black contest"
Daniel Radcliffe reminds you to join the The Woman in Black contest by AMC theatres where you can win a trip to the London premiere! + more news.. if you are an AMC Stubs member. see the video below (posted about the contest earlier here, US fans only).

MTV: Actor we're most thankful for in 2011: Daniel Radcliffe!
MTV News posted today that Daniel Radcliffe is the Actor we're most thankful for in 2011 and I think we all agree on that! See the interview & videos with MTV (Daniel during The Woman in Black promotion) below.
MTV: This is your first full year working outside "Harry Potter." How has it been?
Daniel Radcliffe: It's been a great first year away from "Potter." It's been very successful. I've done some work I'm really proud of in that time, particularly onstage in "How to Succeed." Just the process of doing it and doing it and doing it, I've got so much better, I think, during the run, as is the way it should be. It's been a great year, but I think next year is the big one for me. "The Woman in Black" is coming out, and I've also got a couple other things I'll be doing. The next two or three years are going to be pretty important, I think, and if [2011] is not a breakout year, it's a breakaway year.

Daniel Radcliffe: "next role is likely to be a gay character"
"The star of Harry Potter released he was "very likely" to play a gay character in a movie to come out in the course of next year. "But I will say no more," he told TÊTU.I personally think it's intersting because it's something so different again
Radcliffe prefers to anticipate the hype around this future role: "Many things will be said about the gay thing, but I prefer to say now that this project is much more than that."
As for the prospect of kissing a boy? "I'm not sure that I would like it," he smiles. "But I guess I'll find out."

Daniel Radcliffe's favorite Harry Potter Film is..
Moviefone asked Daniel the following question recently: "Let's say I'm going to the moon and I only have room in my suitcase for one 'Harry Potter' movie. Which one should I take?"
The answer:
"Of the Potter films? Seven, Part 2. The last one. It's the best film, I think. Well, no, it's the best combination of acting, directing, writing, effects ... everything. I think the finest example of those in a Potter film is the last one, where they all came together. Because, you know, I think some of the coolest directorial stuff was on number three [the Alfonso Cuaron-directed 'The Prisoner of Azkaban'], but we weren't as good then. So I wouldn't like you to take that one. Whereas there's some amazing stuff that [director] David [Yates] did in the last film and now we're slightly, you know, more up to scratch. So that would be the one that I would tell you to take with you.
"But I would also say ... I would also say to take something else. I don't know, take 'A Matter of Life and Death.' That's my favorite film, for me."

HP the Quest: Dumbledore and Harry: A look back
Harry Potter: The Quest revealed a new video in which Daniel talks about working with Richard Harris. (Dumbledore in Harry Potter 1 and 2) and Michael Gambon in the other films (who took the role after Harris's death in 2002) And also features more behind the scenes segments.
The final Harry Potter DVD arrives
I am very excited for the coming release of theHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 DVD [a great UK pre-order offer] – (sale starts 11th November depending on your country) this cinematic release of this was one of the best movie events of the year! Daniel Radcliffe was his usual fantastic self and played the role right to the end. In some way this must have been the hardest film for him as he spent an incredible amount of time on screen, and had to confront his most dramatic scenes yet, but he pulled it off!
The movie was absolutely amazing, and I am very excited to get my hands on the DVD with deleted scenes, audio commentary and much more extras! (it is 16th November available here in Holland). I guess you all are too! Daniel Radcliffe first came onto the screen in 2001, 10 years ago. Many of us have quite literally grown up with this sprawling movie series and it is quite weird that there will be no more Harry Potter films. Thankfully we will always have the DVDs!
It will also be quite sad to know we will never see Daniel Radcliffe in the role that made him so famous anymore. He was a fantastic Harry Potter, and we got to see him grow up on the screen. (remember the speech of Emma Watson at the DH part 2 London premiere?) "You were and are the perfect Harry, and will be"
But don't fear, with movies like The Woman in Black coming out February next year we are in for many more films featuring Daniel. In a way I’m glad Harry Potter has ended as it means Daniel will be free to pursue even more exciting new projects, which I personally can’t wait to watch!

Producer Brian Oliver talks The Woman in Black
Collider has posted a new exclusive interview with producer Brian Oliver (President of Cross Creek Pictures) He revealed that the plan with The Woman in Black was to get a movie star and model the film after successful genre horror pics The Sixth Sense and The Others. The producer also said that they almost made The Woman in Black in 3D, but ultimately decided against it.
“We got involved with The Woman in Black early on during the development stage when they were just talking to [director] James [Watkins] and there was no cast. We all talked about who we felt would be a good person to play that role and we all decided that if you get a movie star to be in a genre horror movie it’s a nice fit. It brings something and then you can market the movie with a movie star, but also the horror movies market themselves. So we kind of tried to pattern what they did with The Others and Nicole Kidman and what they did with The Sixth Sense and Bruce Willis. We felt that having a legitimate movie star in a genre piece is a nice piece of business. I actually owe a lot of credit to Simon Oakes, who was very instrumental in getting Daniel Radcliffe attached. I think that Daniel really liked James and they really had a good meeting. So I think that it was a blessing. It is pretty great to have Daniel Radcliffe after the last Harry Potter film in a genre movie.”Would have been great to see TWIB in 3D.. expecially a horror..but well I think we all will enjoy it anyway!

Daniel Radcliffe talks the Woman in Black + potential projects for 2012
“There are lots of things lined up for next year, and one of them is very funny.
“But I would love to do Shakespeare, I’d love to do Orton. But what I’d love to do more than anything else is a new play that’s the one really creative process that I’ve not been involved in.”
On working with his real life godson Misha
Misha in turn thinks working on the film was a game.
Daniel explained: “We were on a night shoot and it was 10 o’clock at night and it was cold. “He was not happy and he was not having any of it, and wanted to go home. “I said, ‘Mischa, no, it’s okay, we will make it a game, I really need you to help me by doing this.’ So he thinks he’s doing me a favour, which is awesome, but he’s got a really great attitude towards it, because he’s now just fantastically arrogant about it.
“He’ll go, ‘Yes, I’m probably going to better than you in the film Dan.’
“I’m like, ‘Yes Mischa, you probably are. But he’s fantastic.”

And certainly he and the other young cast, in particular Rupert Grint and Emma Watson who played Ron and Hermione, are close to his thoughts as are other cast members such as Tom Felton, who played Draco.source: dailyrecord.co.uk

Moviefone interview: Daniel Radcliffe reveals he has never seen Star Wars
In a recent conversation with Moviefone (promotion for The Woman in Black in New York), Daniel Radcliffe revealed that he has never seen Star Wars.
Moviefone: What's your opinion of the comparisons between 'Harry Potter' and 'Star Wars.' Do you enjoy 'Star Wars'?
Daniel Radcliffe: [sighs and starts smiling]
Wait, you've never seen 'Star Wars'?
I know, and now this information is going to be out there in the world.
Wow. That's hard to do.
I know. Yeah, I know. It's really bad.
So not any of the six movies?
I saw 'The Phantom Menace,' and everyone's like, "You saw that one! You didn't see the originals?!" I know! I was ten! I didn't know any better!
I have the Blu-rays on me if you really want to watch them.
Oh, you can't give me the Blu-rays! I think, actually, somebody is planning on getting them for me. Here's my opinion, though. Not on the films or the filmmaking, because I'm sure they're amazing and incredible. And I know that I would love them because I'm a geek -- so I would definitely get into them. What 'Star Wars' and 'Potter' have in common is a huge devoted fan base. Where they differ, I think there is a -- and this is my perception, I may be completely wrong -- I think there is a slightly more balanced split between the sexes in the fan base of 'Potter.' I associate 'Star Wars' as being a predominantly male thing. And I think 'Potter' is split more evenly. The difference is also that any kind of a franchise where a world is created will then engender a generation of nerds. Fantastic! Nerds are the best things in the world. I think of myself as a nerd. What was the Bill Gates thing? "Be nice to nerds, you'll probably be working for them one day." But I think the difference is because 'Potter' started out as a book, it's created a generation of literary nerds in a way that 'Star Wars' perhaps didn't. But, basically, it's all the same. I mean, I do think of 'Potter' as being this generation's 'Star Wars.' It's something that an entire generation as lost themselves in and it's a meticulously created, detailed world. So I do think that's the closest thing to compare it to.

Updated: Empire magazine: Daniel Radcliffe talks Woman in Black (UK)
Quotes from Empire magazine's October issue. Features new stills of The Woman in Black. simplydanielradcliffe.com has scans.
Update: 8th September 2011. A HQ photo (the one with the candle) here thanks to The Woman in Black UK Facebook page.
Daniel Radcliffe: "I feel like I’ve landed on my feet with this being the first thing after Harry. Because this is very different, in that I’m playing a father and it’s a more grown-up film, but it’s not so scandalously different that people will say, ‘Oh, he’s just trying too hard; he’s trying to shock us into thinking he’s something else now.’ I think I’ve taken away some of the ammunition people can throw."
"But I know it’s going to be a leap for people who’ve seen me in a schoolboy outfit for the last ten years and suddenly I’m playing a dad. In the script you read, it probably said Arthur was 27, but we’re pinching it at about 24. Because I can just about pass for 24, especially with the sideburns and make up … That was the thing that worried me more.
"I started to think, ‘Should I do a deeper voice?’, but the chances are my voice isn’t going to be any deeper by the time I’m 24, so it didn’t make sense. And James [Watkins, director] was very quick to allay my fears and say, ‘Well, if that’s what the audience is thinking about, then we’re buggered anyway.'"

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly features a new still from Dan as Arthur Kipps into the upcoming movie The Woman in Black. See that one below.
"Harry has his share of harrowing moments, but this film is far more harrowing than any of the Potter films," says Radcliffe, who adds that it was easy to portray a dad because he got his real-life godson, Misha Handley, to play his onscreen son. "I guess I cheated a bit," he laughs.
