Updated: Dan included in book The Waiting Game
Daniel is included in a book about British Theatre actors during the thirty minutes before they go on stage. Daniel is captured during his run of Equus at the Gielgud Theatre in London (2007). The book is called The Waiting Game by Simon Annand.

Update: March 2012. Daniel's portrait is featured in Simon Annand's exhibition called The Half at the Idea Generation Gallery in London until 8th April 2012. You can also buy his book, which seemed to have changed from the above title to 'The Half'.

“I wrote to Daniel’s father, who is also his manager, saying that some people in the book started their working lives in the Twenties and he was the youngest person in the book. He was becoming part of a tradition in the theatre and that meant something to him. He’s very serious about his work. Even though he’s carried these multi-million pound movies, he’s also a 17-year-old like any other. So I had to talk a lot during the shoot. We talked about cricket.”

Teen magazine interview (US)

Teen magazine interview (US)
Teen magazine interviewed Daniel, Emma and Rupert about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Below the questions they asked Daniel.

What's the kissing scene like between Harry and Ginny Weasley?
I think Bonnie (Wright, who plays Ginny) was maybe a bit nervous, and I probably was, too. It is very much the case that it's nowhere near as exciting to film those scenes as people would imagine them to be. I hate to disillusion everyone.

Did you give Rupert any advice on his kissing scenes?
I wasn't there because they filmed the actual kiss after I had gone home one day. I couldn't watch it and laugh at him, which was deeply annoying. I love watching the scenes where Lavender swoons over Ron. I think there's a little bit of Rupert looking embarrassed, which makes me really laugh.

Is it fun filming a movie that has a little more romance in it?
I prefer the dark stuff to be honest! The romance is fun and it's something people will really enjoy, but I personally like doing stuff in a cave where I'm close to death. It's a lot easier than romance.

What was a funny moment onset?

Rupert, Emma and I displayed a total lack of professionalism because we could not stop laughing during one scene, and we didn't know why. I think it was partially because I had just seen a piece of film footage of a monkey in a little uniform riding a bicycle and I was thinking about that. I shared that with Rupert, which was a terrible thing to do because he started laughing. And then I think Emma just thought, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
