Kill Your Darlings DVD & Blu-ray US release date

Marion 31 January 2014 8
Kill Your Darlings DVD & Blu-ray US release date
Kill Your Darlings will be available on DVD & Blu-ray in the US on 18th March, released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Synopsis:

When Allen Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe), is accepted at Columbia, he finds stuffy tradition clashing with daringly modern ideas and attitudes—embodied by Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan). Lucien is an object of fascination for shy, unsophisticated Allen, and soon he is drawn into Lucien’s hard-drinking, jazz-clubbing circle of friends, including William Burroughs (Ben Foster), the dissolute scion of a wealthy family, and David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall), an older hanger-on who clearly resents Allen’s position as Lucien’s new sidekick. A true story of friendship, love and murder, Kill Your Darlings recounts the pivotal year that changed Allen Ginsberg's life forever and provided the spark for him to start his creative revolution.

Blu-ray and DVD bonus features include:
- “On the Red Carpet at the Toronto Film Festival”
- Commentary with Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, John Krokidas and Austin Bunn
- “In Conversation with Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan”
- Q&A with Director/Co-Writer John Krokidas and Co-Writer Austin Bunn
- Deleted Scenes

Kill Your Darlings has a runtime of approximately 103 minutes and is rated R for sexual content, language, drug use and brief violence.

"Daniel Radcliffe is full of vitality. Dane DeHaan is hot and dangerous."

Updated: Daniel Radcliffe to star in Brooklyn Bridge
Another new project! Daniel Radcliffe is attached to star opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Brooklyn Bridge, to be directed by Douglas McGrath. Daniel will play inexperienced engineer Washington Roebling.

Update: 6th May 2015. Shooting is set to start in June this year in New York.
Inspired by true events, it details the story of a brilliant but inexperienced engineer, Washington Roebling, who is left to oversee the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge when his father passes away. Besieged by calamity, danger and doubt, his obsession to get the job done threatens his health and his family until he discovers an improbable ally in his charming and shrewd wife.
Goldcrest Films will finance, distribute and sell international rights to the project, which will be produced by Christine Vachon (also produced Kill Your Darlings) for Killer Films and Rose Ganguzza. Executive producers are Goldcrest’s Nick Quested and Pascal Degove together with Jill Samuels. Goldcrest Post will provide picture and sound post production services.

Goldcrest Films managing director Degove said:
"Having Daniel’s involvement is a massive coup for the film, not only is he perfect for the role, but he’s consistently proved himself to be one of the very few actors who is genuinely a massive draw for audiences of all ages."
Vachon said:
"We love Doug’s extraordinary script and working with Daniel is one of the rare treats in the business …this is thrilling for everyone at Killer."
The film is set to start filming in August.
