Daniel is returning to Broadway! He will star in Every Brilliant Thing, Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe’s solo play featuring audience participation. Previews start at the Hudson Theatre on 21st February 2026 ahead of opening night on 12th March. Yesterday Daniel attended a Q&A after a members only screening of Kill Your Darlings (2013) at Metrograph in New York. Other special guests were director John Krokidas, Dane Dehaan, Ben Foster and producers Christine Vachon and Rose Ganguzza.

It has been announced that the world premiere of the Merrily We Roll Along proshot film will take place at the Hamptons International Film Festival. It will be their closing night film on sunday 12th October. For more information visit hamptonsfilmfest.org.

A short post. We can scratch Batso off of the projects list. Back in 2024 it was announced that Daniel was set to play Dean Caldwell but Deadline has now shared the news that Walton Goggins and Lewis Pullman will take over two of the main roles. Jessica Biel was also announced and she's still attached to the project.

It's wednesday 23rd July and that means that Daniel has turned 36 years today. Happy Birthday to the man we admire! Let's hope he has a great day with Erin, their son, family and who else he might celebrate it with.

Back in April it was announced that a filmed version of the Merrily We Roll Along Broadway revival was sold to Sony Pictures Classics, they acquired worldwide rights. I had not shared that here yet.

Theatrical release plans for the proshot of the musical haven't been revealed but... broadwayworld.com has now pointed out that it's listed on AMC Theatres' website which means it most likely gets a US release on 5th December 2025 the way it looks now. Once I know more info regarding a possible release in the UK and NL I will update this post.

Update: 16th July 2025. It will indeed be a worldwide release by Sony Pictures Classics in collaboration with Fathom Entertainment.

Public figures including Daniel have signed an open letter to call on the administration and Congress to restore and protect funding for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services in the fiscal year 2026 budget. The letter is set up by The Trevor Project. This happened after they heard that the federal government in the US has proposed to eliminate all funding beginning on 1st October 2025. Daniel attended the NBCUniversal Upfront event today where NBC presented the new TV series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins for the 2025-2026 season. According to The Hollywood Reporter the trailer was shown besides the appearance from Tracy Morgan and Daniel. Photos via Getty Images.

Back in March it was released that Daniel joined an untitled NBC comedy pilot. It has now been given the title The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. Principal photography has already started. We don't know yet when the series will premiere.

From the NBC press release:

On the comedy front, Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe will star in “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.” Executive produced by “30 Rock” creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock and written by Carlock and Sam Means (“30 Rock,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), the series focuses on a disgraced former football player (Morgan), who is on a mission to rehabilitate his image.

The Lost City is available on Paramount+. They have now released the following clip featuring Daniel as Abigail Fairfax online.

In Abigail's (Daniel Radcliffe) quest to find a lost treasure, he kidnaps Loretta (Sandra Bullock), believing she's the key to unlocking the mystery.

Daniel attended the gala opening night of the musical Just in Time with Erin. His former "Merrily" co-star and good friend Jonathan Groff stars in it. There is a red carpet clip via broadway.com on YouTube.

Daniel's 2001 appearance on The Today Show while promoting Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. He explains how he got discovered because of his performance as David in David Copperfield, what he thinks is great about the Harry Potter books and more.

On the official "Now You See Me" series X account is announced that Now You See Me 3 has been retitled and is now called Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Back in October last year it was announced that Daniel returns as Walter Mabry. I assume that's international. The date which is mentioned is the US release. It looks like many people suggested this title.

Daniel won the Targa d'Oro Gold Plate at Italy's David Di Donatello Awards in 2002 for his superb portrayal of Harry and for his contribution to the future of cinema. Footage of him accepting the award on the set of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Oxford has been published online yesterday on TikTok. Someone also shared it on YouTube so I added that video below.

According to Variety, Daniel is set to star in an upcoming NBC comedy pilot. It is currently untitled and has the logline, “A disgraced former football player is on a mission to rehabilitate his image.”

He will star as Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back.

Robert Carlock and Sam Means are attached to write and executive produce the pilot, with Tina Fey also executive producing.

Another new project for Daniel. Deadline is exclusively reporting that he will star in the Vietnam War thriller Trust the Man. It will also star Lucas Hedges and will be directed by Will Graham.

Description:

"The thriller follows an ambitious Army Intelligence officer during the Vietnam War assigned to investigate a decorated soldier with a mysterious past. As surveillance and interrogation deepen, the line between loyalty and obsession blurs, leading both men into a dangerous and uncontrollable connection."
