    WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story DVD & Blu-ray US release date

    WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story is finally getting a US DVD and Blu-ray (and 4K Ultra HD) release. The biopic was released online via The Roku Channel in November 2022. The release date is 12th December 2023, distributed by Shout! Studios. Bonus features have yet to be announced.

    Synopsis:

    Daniel Radcliffe is "Weird Al" Yankovic in the unexaggerated true story about the greatest musician of our time. From a conventional upbringing where playing the accordion was a sin, Al rebelled and made his dream of changing the words to world-renowned songs come true. An instant success and sex symbol, Al lives an excessive lifestyle and pursues an infamous romance that nearly destroys him. With Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, and an A-list cast of thousands their agents won't let us reveal.

    It's 23rd July today. Happy Birthday Daniel! 🎉

    Let's hope he has an awesome day with Erin and their son. I'm glad to hear that he won't stop with acting while he did mention he will work a bit less now he has a son and can enjoy being with him. ♡. But coming up is Merrily We Roll Along on the fall.


    I'll update this post throughout the day with more interesting updates via social media if they appear online (what also appeared online is a new Miracle Workers series 4 clip).

    SAG-AFTRA strike in New York

    SAG-AFTRA strike in New York
    More on the current actors strike (see Daniel's earlier made quote here).

    Members of SAG-AFTRA, Hollywood's largest union which represents actors and other media professionals, have joined striking WGA (Writers Guild of America) workers in the first joint walkout against the studios since 1960. The strike could shut down Hollywood productions completely with writers in the third month of their strike against the Hollywood studios.

    Photos of strike day 7 have appeared online featuring Daniel and Erin Darke with their son amongst other famous faces on the picket line in New York showing their support.
