According to Variety, Daniel could very well be heading back to Broadway in the near future. The project is still in its very early stages and producers could not be reached for confirmation.

Update: Daniel's publicist, who has stated that Dan is currently looking through a few potential projects, including this musical. However, nothing has been confirmed, in terms of commitments to anything.

Daniel is lending his support and made a generous donation to a UK charity called Get Connected, which is a confidential, free, national helpline for young people under-25 who have a problem but do not know where to find help. Get Connected is there for young people in need of help no matter what the issue, from eating disorders to abuse, homelessness to pregnancy.

Daniel:

“I am delighted to pledge my support for Get Connected, and mark their 10th anniversary by becoming their first Best Friend. The free confidential helpline finding young people help for any problem is a vital and unique service. We live in a world that is so full of choice and information; it is often impossible to know where to turn or what to do."

“Get Connected is there for young people in need of help no matter what the issue, from eating disorders to abuse, homelessness to pregnancy. I see Get Connected as much more than just a gateway for information; it is a friend to thousands of young people across the UK. I also support The Trevor Project, which is America’s leading national organisation focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. As with Trevor, I hope that my support can raise the visibility of Get Connected so that even more young people become aware that there’s help on hand.”

At a press conference earlier this morning, Universal Studios confirmed that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida will officially open in the Spring 2010. No specific date was given. Names of the three main park rides are Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge. Flight of the Hippogriff will include interaction with Hagrid as you fly on a Hippogriff for training. Dragon Challenge will center on flying either a Hungarian Horntail or Chinese Fireball. Other attractions include the Ollivanders Shop, Owl Post, Dervish and Banges, Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes, Zonko's and Filch Emporium.A ton of artwork was revealed of virtually every part of the park, including a map.

Auctions are taking place for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). Items include three pieces of Equus memorabilia signed by Daniel Radcliffe. A pair of signed jeans worn by Daniel in Equus, along with an autographed poster of Dan and infront of house sign, are being sold. The auction takes place until Saturday 26th September at 2:00PM EST.
