Daniel Radcliffe at The Public Theater
Flashback Saturday! I wanted to create a post for this: Daniel meeting fans at The Public theater after performing in the Off-Broadway play Privacy back in 2016. It's mainly because of the following photo of him with American mentalist The Amazing Kreskin. Oh and there's also this one: Daniel and DJ, host, performer Stormageddon and this one: Junebug: A Guide Dog's Adventures.

More photos and a video which were already shared via Facebook and which you could have missed:
Birthday message to Fun Home The Musical's Sydney Lucas
Mark Subias, United Talent Agency.
Daniel and Lin-Manuel Miranda
Shout out to Jagged Row
SiriusXM's radio talk show host Randi Zuckerberg

For more and creative selfies (I also love this one) visit Daniel J Radcliffe Holland's Facebook page and search for "Privacy".

A Throwback Thursday post appeared on Daniel's official Google+ page regarding Privacy (2016).

#Privacy "The issue of personal privacy in the modern age - when all our wants and fears can be monitored and monetized as we share every aspect of our lives - is, I believe, one of the most crucial issues of our generation.” - James Graham #tbt

Updated: Public Forum's A conversation about Privacy

Daniel discussed the limits of Privacy with James Graham (Privacy), Jon Ronson (journalist and author of So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed), and Sherry Turkle (professor and author of Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in the Digital Age) yesterday during Public Forum's A conversation about Privacy at The Public Theater in New York

Update:
12th August 2016. A video. Daniel Radcliffe on Disconnection as Social Rebellion.

Some Tweets and retweets by @PublicForumNY can be read below (you can also read tweets via Storify). A few clips will be shared over the rest of the week. When those are online I'll add them below too.

New York magazine interview (US)

New York magazine interview (US)
A new photo from a photoshoot for New York magazine plus interview in which he talks about Swiss Army Man and Privacy has been released online.
He has a lot of personal experience with the themes of Privacy, though. “People always ask me the question ‘What was it like to grow up on film?’ ” he says. “And I’ll always be like, ‘All the first dates, the first kisses, all that stuff that makes up your youth, that was all still totally private.’ ” He isn’t on social media, partly because it seems like a terrible idea to him, but mostly because he doesn’t understand how people have the time. And he doesn’t have much to lose if his iPhone gets hacked. “I’ve never been on the cloud, actually, because I never set it up because I’m an idiot and I don’t know how,” he says. So he’s not worried naked pictures of him will surface? Radcliffe laughs. “They’re out there anyway.”
Read more here. The article appears in the 27th June 2016 issue of the magazine.

The New York Times: Daniel Radcliffe about Privacy
The New York Times talked with Daniel, director Josie Rourke and the playwright James Graham about Privacy.

Read it at nytimes.com. Also features new photos.

The conversation around privacy clearly engages Mr. Radcliffe, 26. Having been cast in the Harry Potter franchise as a preadolescent, the continuum between the private and the public is very real for him.

And more good news for all of you who want to see the play, tickets are now on sale! For info: publictheater.org/en/tickets.

From the press release:

I nspired by the revelations of Edward Snowden, PRIVACY explores our complicated relationship with technology and data through the funny and heart - breaking travails of a lonely guy (Daniel Radcliffe), who arrives in the city to figure out how to like, tag, and share his life without giving it all away. The play uncovers what our technological choices reveal about who we are, what we want and who’s keeping track of it all. This provocative th eatrical event will ask audiences to charge their phones, leave them ON during the performance and to embark on a fascinating dive online and into a new reality where we’re all connected...for better or worse.
Who are you? Are you the websites you visit, the music you download, the photos you post? Do you measure your value by your followers and your likes? Who’s listening to you? And whom are you watching back..?

Daniel Radcliffe to star in Off-Broadway play Privacy
Daniel is heading back to the New York stage this year! He is set to lead Privacy, a new play co-created and written by James Graham, and co-created and directed by the Donmar Warehouse’s Josie Rourke.

The production will play a limited time, from 5th July through 7th August, in the Public's Newman Theater. The Opening night is scheduled for 18th July. Daniel will take on the role of The Writer.

Privacy made its world premiere at London's Donmar Warehouse in 2014.
Inspired by the revelations of Edward Snowden, Privacy explores our complicated relationship with technology and data through the funny and heart-breaking travails of a lonely guy (Radcliffe), who arrives in the city to figure out how to like, tag, and share his life without giving it all away. The play uncovers what our technological choices reveal about who we are, what we want and who’s keeping track of it all. This provocative theatrical event will ask audiences to charge their phones, leave them ON during the performance and to embark on a fascinating dive online and into a new reality where we’re all connected…for better or worse.
