Updated: Weekly Reader interview
As filming for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was wrapping up, Daniel spoke with Weekly Reader.

Update:  Read Daniel's clarification regarding one question below.

Back then this site didn't excist. I decided to add 'archive news' like this as much as possible. I thought it might be interesting to read for you all.

How would you describe Harry these days?
He’s grown up quite a bit. He’s becoming slightly more aggressive. In this story [Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire], everything is being taken away, and it’s out of his hands. Harry struggles to get a grip on the situation.

How has being Harry Potter changed your life?
I do get recognized in public. This one guy saw me near a [subway] station and burst out, “Hey, everyone! Look!” It would have been OK with me if he hadn’t yelled. The other thing that has changed is that I’m not in school as I’d normally be. [He attends school on the set.]

Daniel donated Harry Potter crew shirt for Rebuilding Sri Lanka auction
Daniel donated his "Hogwarts crew" t-shirt from the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone film to be auctioned off on clothesagency.com (celebrity clothes auction, 10th February – 13th March) to benefit the Rebuilding Sri Lanka,  rebuildingsrilanka.org.uk fund to help those who were so horribly affected by the disastrous Tsunami. The shirt was only given out to the cast and the crew. His shirt raised eventually £520.00 after 32 bids.

Daniel Radcliffe, who has played the leading role in every 'Harry Potter' film, has signed his personal Hogwarts crew T shirt - it is the one he wore during the making of the first film, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and is unique to the production team.

Daniel has signed the front of this T-shirt and, as they were only issued to members of the cast and crew, this is something that money cannot buy.. Unless of course you bid on it in this auction!

Huge thanks to a dear friend, Jane Porter, who was given the T-shirt and has donated it to our catalogue here.

"I first saw Dan while he was filming a scene with Alan Rickman (Snape), but I didn't have a chance to meet him then."

"I was standing literally two feet from Daniel Radcliffe himself! Dan got up, greeted us and shook our hands, but then he had to sit back down to have his make-up done. We talked for about twenty minutes straight about everything from school, to music, to sports! Once Dan's make-up was finished we all walked back to the set where he was filming with Alan Rickman, and they did the scene again. Between takes Dan would come over and talk with us."

The Libertines: "Can't Stand Me Now"
Daniel: "Brilliant. Love it. I'm a massive Libertines fan. It's not my favourite track off the album, but it's wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, and incredibly sad."

The Others: "This Is For The Poor"
Daniel: "I really like this song. However, I feel like I'm being made to feel guilty. I like to think that I'm not a typical schoolboy, and stuff, but I do feel very guilty when listening to this song. I prefer Stan Bowles 'cos it's guilt-free."

Franz Ferdinand: "Take Me Out"
Daniel: "Brilliant, fantastic, just great! When I first heard it, it didn't immediately grab me, but it's infectious. You just find yourself humming it. And the album....but it's not my favourite on the album, it's erm....erm....'Matinee'."

Keane: "Bedshaped"
Daniel: "I'm not a big Keane fan. I mean it's nice enough but it doesn't make me dance, it doesn't make me happy, and it doesn't make me sad."

Because Daniel deserves an Oscar Page contacted the Oscar organization to ask if they could make a special award trophy.  It was decided not to create a duplicate but there was a different trophy
made by R. S. Owens & Company, the company that makes the Oscar and Emmy Awards.

Dear Page,

Thank you so much to everyone at Danradcliffe.co.uk for the fantastic award which I opened on Christmas morning. I was completely surprised to receive it and was very touched by your kindness. Thank you for the fantastic work Danradcliffe.co.uk does on behalf of Demelza House and thank you to everyone who contributed throughout the year to this amazing place.Page, thank you for the excellent work you continue to do on danradcliffe.co.uk. - it means a lot to me.Wherever you are in the world I hope you have a happy and peaceful New Year and to everyone who has suffered in the Tsunamis earthquake my thoughts are with you.

Variety is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe was one of the staff at the Bush Theatre's annual fundraising Christmas Quiz. He waited on tables during the event. From the article:

"As for the waitering skills of Radcliffe fils? Exemplary, though one doubts he'll need to abandon the day job any time soon."
