Updated: Robbie Coltrane has died aged 72
Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane known for his role as Rubeus Hagrid in Harry Potter has passed away at the age of 72, his agent confirmed. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Daniel was among the first to pay tribute and issued a statement on his passing (source: Variety).

Update: The statement is now also online on his official website.
"Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set. I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on Prisoner of Azkaban, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up.

Updated(2): NYCC 2022: WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story panel

You could follow New York Comic Con (NYCC)'s WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story panel with Daniel, Evan Rachel Wood, director Eric Appel and Al Yankovic (via Zoom) live via thepopverse.com. The host was Josh Horowitz.

The video is currently still available via the link above, but according to Popverse there are two ways to watch it if you missed it: by becoming a Popverse member at the 'Fan' level (or higher), or by buying a NYCC digital ticket. Entertainment Tonight (ET) posted an interview.

Fun fact: Josh, Eric and Daniel were all wearing the same custom "WEIRD" Vans sneakers. There are photos on Twitter shared by Jean Paul (he mentioned Daniel J Radcliffe Holland's Twitter) and photos by Lindsey DeLuca Photography (more at nerdsandbeyond.com) and Mandi Lea Photography. They also showed the trailer and a clip during the panel but they were sadly not visible on the livestream.

Update: 17th October 2022. 'Damn Daniel' Vans clip via The Roku Channel on TikTok. And there's a better look at the custom sneakers.
Update: 18th October 2022. The video is behind a paywall now. A clip via Facebook.

Madly, Deeply: A celebration of Alan Rickman
BFI hosted the event Madly, Deeply: A celebration of Alan Rickman to remember his life and work before the launch of his diaries called Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman on 4th October 2022. Back in September The Guardian published a preview, and Daniel was also mentioned in it.
2 May
8.40am pick-up Corridor with Dan Radcliffe. He’s so concentrated now. Serious and focused – but with a sense of fun. I still don’t think he’s really an actor but he will undoubtedly direct/produce. And he has such quiet, dignified support from his parents. Nothing is pushed.
During the event at BFI Southbank, which took place yesterday, a video message from Daniel was shown. There is no footage online only a photo.

TIME magazine's TIME100 Next 2022: Daniel on The Daniels
TIME magazine has released their TIME100 Next 2022 list today. It contains rising stars in the entertainment and other categories. Included on the list are directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan a.k.a The Daniels.

For the magazine Daniel wrote a piece on the filmmakers. He worked with them on Swiss Army Man.

Read it on time.com.
Everything Everywhere All at Once is such an extraordinarily funny film, and also I haven’t cried like that in a movie for so long. You have to be so smart to earn as many jokes as they did, to go to an insane place then also go to the most profound places imaginable. When I saw that movie, I just thought, “Yeah, I don’t need to see another film for a while. This has given me everything I need.” The Daniels are also so well rounded. They’re amazing writers with serious technical knowledge and incredible hearts. There’s a deep earnestness to a lot of their work, in addition to the insanity
