What an amazing treat to have the handsome and talented screen and Broadway star Daniel Radcliffe see Arias with a Twist and join us backstage afterwards with his dapper dad Alan. Equally thrilling was the return of our angel Thierry Mugler, our closest advisor.

Like I did post before, you all could vote for Daniel to become Broadway star of the year 2008 for his role in Equus. And...he won. Congratulations Daniel!

And for all of you who voted here's a quote:

"As always, Dan is both gracious and grateful towards his supporters: Radcliffe offered a special message to the fans who voted for him: “Thank you very much, you guys! I can always count on you. The fans are awesome.”

The cast of Equus was the top Broadway fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) this year. There are now photos and videos from the Gypsy of the Year performance.

From broadwaycares.org:

The cast of Equus featured star Daniel Radcliffe performing an original song, written by Mr. Radcliffe, entitled “The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Neigh” that included the show’s “horses” dancing and cavorting with their young star.

The $203,746 raised by the cast of EQUUS, enthusiastically lead by Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, is the most raised by a Broadway play in the history of BC/EFA fundraising.
