He later encourages Radcliffe to attempt an American accent, although brands Radcliffe's choice of phrase - "What up, dude, give me some hamburgers and pizza!" - as stereotypical.

In a press release it has been annouced the following: Daniel will serve as master of ceremonies as hundreds of students from middle and intermediate New York City Public Schools in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan get their Broadway debut at the Shubert Foundation/MTI Broadway JR. Student Celebration at the Majestic Theatre.

“I won’t be getting up at 4AM to watch the wedding. I’ll catch the highlights on CNN because they’ll be running something 24/7,” Radcliffe laughed.

“But back home apparently everyone is most excited for the four day weekend, not the wedding.”

And while he won’t be glued to the television early Friday morning, Radcliffe has nothing but good wishes for the royal couple.

“I am very happy for them. I wish them all the happiness in the world,” he said.

On being invited: “Why would they invite me? I might be English, but they don’t know me. Why do all Americans think that?”
