Red Bucket Spring fundraising competition: top fundraiser is Every Brilliant Thing
The red buckets were back from 13th March through 26th April for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA)'s earlier announced Spring fundraising competition. 54 shows have joined and a grand total of $7,135,088 has been raised. And Every Brilliant Thing was the top fundraiser! They topped the list of Broadway plays and raised a total of $408,180 (and ended above Harry Potter and the Cursed Child).

Another nomination. This time for The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. Daniel is nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Comedy Series award.

The awards show takes place on 1st June at Cipriani Wall Street in NY.

After an Every Brilliant Thing performance there was a post show talkback in partnership with The Trevor Project and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSPwith Daniel, Jaymes Black, Dr. Christine Yu Moutier, and Dr. Darien Sutton (ABC News Medical Correspondent) about mental health and suicide prevention. They called it the LGBTQIA+ mental health night.

Nominees for the Outer Critics Circle Awards have been announced. Daniel is nominated for Outstanding Solo Performance for his role in Every Brilliant Thing.

Winners will be announced on 11th May. The event will be held on 21st May at at the MMAC Theater.

Filipina actress Kakki Teodoro met Daniel backstage at Every Brilliant Thing. She is the one who did the show in the Philippines and Daniel mentioned her in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: (and also Playbill).

Quote: “Because there’s lots of moments in the script where the characters come close to kissing, and obviously we don’t, because they are audience members and it’s a Broadway play, and I’m not going to be doing that with anyone. But Kakki Teodoro made out with so many people, I was just like, ‘Yeah, good for you, man, that’s awesome.”

Pizza Movie is out now on Hulu and Disney+. With The Hollywood Reporter Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney discussed how Daniel got the voice role of (Lysander) the butterfly. Oh and a clip appeared online.

McElhaney: 
"He was so eager. That guy’s a star. He just commits no matter what the project is. Clearly. He went into a recording booth and knocked it out of the park in 30 minutes".
